Account Deletion Policy

At Nomio, we respect your right to control your personal data. This policy explains how you can request deletion of your Nomio account and what happens to your data when you do so.

You can request account deletion through any of these methods:

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

• Your profile information (name, email, phone number)
• Saved delivery addresses
• Food preferences and dietary restrictions
• Saved payment methods
• Subscription preferences
• App settings and preferences
• Push notification tokens
• Device information linked to your account

3. Data Retained for Legal/Business Purposes

Some data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes:

• Transaction Records: Order history and payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax laws and accounting regulations.
• Legal Compliance: Data required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
• Anonymized Data: Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics and service improvement.
• Communication Records: Customer support communications may be retained for quality assurance and dispute resolution.

5. Before You Delete Your Account

Please consider the following before deleting your account:

• Active Orders: Complete or cancel any pending orders before deletion. Active orders must be fulfilled or cancelled first.
• Active Subscriptions: Cancel any active meal subscriptions to avoid charges.
• Wallet Balance: Any remaining wallet balance should be used or refunded before deletion.
• Pending Refunds: Ensure all pending refunds are processed before account deletion.
• Chef/Delivery Partner Accounts: If you're a chef or delivery partner, ensure all pending payments are settled.

7. Re-registration After Deletion

After your account is deleted, you may create a new account using the same email or phone number. However, your previous order history, preferences, and data will not be restored. The new account will start fresh with no connection to your previous account.

8. For Home Chefs & Delivery Partners

If you're registered as a Home Chef or Delivery Partner, additional steps are required:

• Complete all pending orders
• Ensure all earnings are withdrawn
• Return any Nomio-provided equipment (if applicable)
• Submit a formal resignation through the Partner app or email support@nomio.in
• Account deletion will be processed after settlement of all dues
